Going to work with Grandad

The best thing about lockdown ending was having the grandchildren to come and stay again. We missed them so much and it was great to spend precious time with them at the weekend. As always, there were special requests about what activities and treats they would like and we were only too happy to oblige.

In Oscar’s case, the only request was to go to work with Grandad. Oscar is eight and is a keen photographer. He also has a great eye for it, so who better to bring along to an outdoor shoot?

Our mission was to take a picture of the McNamara family outside their house for the Smile for Saoirse campaign. Smile for Saoirse is raising money for young amputee Saoirse Ruane, to fund new prosthetic legs for her as she grows.

It was a lovely sunny evening as we made our way to Banagher, and Oscar was hugely excited. Using Grandad’s camera, he captured a great picture of the family as well as some other shots around the harbour. He certainly is a chip off the old block!
